Can you find Faith

the angels with lead them
into days they have never known
from nights that never ended,
and dreams that were never reality

because the people have lived for this day
whispering of its existence into the ears of their young
in the shadowed nights they called home

the angels will sing to them
teaching them the songs of their ancestors
the ones they no longer remember
and faith will become a thing they cherish

because Faith could be a little girl in pigtails
with blue eyes full of wonder
and a laugh you hear for miles.

and the people will remember

when little girls were pink and pretty
