gold fish love
i sit by the edge of the dark liquid pool watching the lumpy faced gold fish blow bubbles and sink through the darkness to a place i can not see
and it's that place safe from all that breath the air that keeps them from me as the darkness keeps you from me
so i dance round the image of the moon and it lays milky and silent in the pool of night as i sing into the darkness telling my truths as though they were demands
but like the moon i grow silent for i don't suppose dancing naked with the moon will ever take the place of moving naked over you
