home on my own
i cross the parking lot the day whispers fare well to the night surrounded by so much dark beauty i find it hard to walk home alone i've grown tired and cold to the wonders in this world so much love spooned out to so many and yet, my bowl stays empty the cold air bites my cheeks as i fight to hold back the tender feelings falling from my eyes i look up at the moon and remember nights when i had skin that pale in my hands
when the moon was my audience as i brushed my love over you like warm golden kisses captured by the sun
