on daydream

I wake
to a misty morning still in my presents
moist with admiration
for my love.

on such a night
compared to few
a woman comes (lonely & alone)
to find a man (hoping one day,
like they all do) to make a home

but like all things
time has come
to dissolve the myths of man,
& little girls
can no longer cry to sleep
their lofty dreams
of perfect cakes
& tidy rooms.

in each person
there must be heart,
in every heart
a person beats (loud enough,
if you know what to listen for)

(inside your mind
the voice will
sing) to carry you
to a place you always should have been.
then you will see (like you never saw
before) just how it always was, and
(more importantly)
how it all should be done.
