turn

galloping horses run in your chest
foaming thick milky mist at first light.
"Wonder, come to me."
precious little padded feet
shatter the silence,
a rhythm lost to all those asleep.
howl little one, as though a woman,
finding her sound. and you will
fool them with your noise. in a world you no longer belong
you will steal the person i think that i am

down soft
stand firm
slowly she sits
as i begin to turn
